Sarah Beals is in her 3rd decade of providing Therapeutic Bodywork. Over time she continues to learn and hone her Massage skills to incorporate healing modalities. Primary interests include myofascial release, deep stretch, and applied qigong to aid in the release of maladaptive holding patterns. It all adds up to deep relaxation and ease of natural movement.
Emphasis on body alignment for balance, rhythmic breathing and application of movement principles unique to this ancient and elegant chinese movement art. Beginner and intermediate.
Tai Chi class starts fresh for beginners once or twice a year. Sessions run 8 to 10 weeks in duration, building a sequential movement series. Occasionally a stand alone workshop is offered to teach a refreshing qigong series or compact tai chi set.
The benefits of regular tai chi practice are well documented, having been studied extensively. The young will maintain youth, the aged will rebuild strength and dexterity. All practitioners enjoy greater confidence in balance, deeper natural breathing and increased postural awareness.
